Health screening for travel

Find out how healthy you really are before you head off

Do you really know how healthy you are?  Even if you watch what you eat and visit the gym, it can be difficult to know exactly how fit you are on the inside.

Health screenings are a range of examinations and tests that will show you if you have any underlying illnesses that can then be caught and treated early, or can provide tips on how to have a healthier lifestyle. Travel health screenings have helped to save lives and have in cases, added years onto lives.

Falling ill abroad can prove to be a much bigger problem and far more daunting than at home, so give yourself a healthier head start with a pre-travel health check.

  • Get reassurance on your current state of health
  • Find out about any serious health issues before they become a problem
  • Get advice on lifestyle changes to encourage fitness

Health Screenings are carried out by a registered nurse at one of our network of centres across the UK. Your personal report will contain the results of a full health MOT including:

  • Height and weight
  • Blood pressure
  • Body fat analysis
  • 12 lead echocardiogram interpreted by a Consultant Cardiologist
  • Urinalysis
  • Blood tests – including a full blood count, urea and electrolytes, glucose and cholesterol (fasting)
  • Hearing tests
  • Vision screening
  • A personal health action plan

If any underlying medical conditions are uncovered which need attention before you set off, you will be able to receive medical care in a familiar healthcare system, without a language barrier. We can also advise on any special lifestyle adaptations you may need abroad.
