Ian Tranter, Partner and Head of Employment at JMW Solicitors LLP

Ian joined JMW in January 2011 as Partner and Head of Employment.  Previously a Partner at both Pannone and Chaffe Street (now Brabners Chaffe Street) he has over 25 years experience advising on a broad range of employment law matters.  His specialisms include corporate re-structures, TUPE, re-organisations, executive terminations, disciplinary and dismissal issues, discrimination, data protection and insolvency implications.

Carl joined JMW in May 2011 from Nexus Solicitors where he was a Partner and Head of the Employment Department.  Prior to that, Carl worked at Eversheds Solicitors LLP and since qualifying in 1996, he has specialised exclusively in employment law.

Carl deals with all aspects of employment law and has particular expertise in unfair dismissals, wrongful dismissals, redundancies, contracts of employment, discrimination and Employment Tribunal litigation. Carl has contributed to the employment law volumes of the Encyclopaedia of Forms and Precedents and is described by the Legal 500 as "excellent", giving "advice that has been spot on".
